The deep tissue method is extremely useful when tackling a specific problem such as osteoarthritis pain, sciatica, tennis elbow, or fibromyalgia.
TRIGGER POINT THERAPY
Trigger point therapy is partly relieving pain from myofascial trigger points and partly discovering where the real problems are so that they may be dealt with. One session can help make a tremendous difference to the discomfort of chronic injuries.
Trigger points, also called muscle knots, are the source of sharp pains or constant aches in the body’s muscle tissue and cause weakness, twitching, loss of coordination or other similar issues for the affected area. Touching or using these knots and the region surrounding them can feel immensely distressing, and while these points may become dormant or “latent”, they can become active again easily. It’s also important to know that pain locations often may not indicate the real source of the issue: referred pain. A trigger point in one location can cause pain in another, such as a problem in the back that cause irritation in the leg. The resulting sore knot then could itself become a trigger point, starting a devastating cycle.

As such, you may have trigger points you don’t even realize, which is part of what treatment deals with. Rather than simply helping with a symptom of a trigger point, we actively search for the root of the problem so you can see real improvement – don’t just stick a band aid on your muscle pain!
